I was amazed at how the readings were able to clarify and draw attention to my own decision-making processes. Sometimes I am so busy that I would rush to judgment or stick with the status quo. Now I have a better sense of what should go in to decision making and feel more comfortable taking the time needed to have a rationale that is applicable that makes sense from different viewpoints. I also know that my decision-making ability needs to informed with good data and to surround myself with colleagues that I can trust and seek advice from for areas that I need. It was also informative to have the critical role of intuition described fully as this I feel is important to understand.
Good points Eunyoung, it can be very empowering when we understand our decision making process. As you state, we as humans are prone to biased decisions and this is why CDSS can be very useful with helping use make decisions based on EBP in clinical practice.
