Module1_Introduction


Hello, my name is Eunyoung Martineau. I am in the second year of PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program)-I can’t believe how the first year went by. I am originally from Seoul, South Korea and have lived in Utah for five years. Before that, I lived in Vermont, Hawaii, New York, and Dominica. Even though I have lived in America for 18 years, I still struggle with English, so please be patient with my poor grammars. Currently, I am doing my Clinical Internship at the VA, Salt Lake City, Utah. I am married and have two sons (16 and 13). My previous profession (?) was a homemaker for 15 years. I am trying to build up my hobbies except watching Korean dramas.

My experience with information technology is from the VA where I do my internship. The VA has a system called CPRS and the CPRS allows us to access all kind of information related a patient such as MRI, X-rays, Labs result, distant medical records and so on. I am in the process of learning how to retrieve and integrate this information, which is very frustrating for me due to my lack of experience in computer. However, I am very hopeful because I will be a different person after taking N6004. Or am I expecting too much?

Have you ever felt nervous and anxious when you tried something you never have done? I feel anxious to start this blog becuase I have never blogged or had no facebook account-mostly due to the fear of exposing my private life. I hope I enjoy blogging.
